Living in a diverse town, both racially and socioeconomically, I am aware of the importance of building bridges and being an ally to the Black community. I work for social justice through my efforts at the Bobrow Food Pantry in my hometown. This experience has increased my awareness of how people of color experience food insecurity at a disproportionately high rate. I want to be able to not only help people, but promote awareness of the inequality that BIPOC face daily.
